Meet Maryann Lazzeri
Maryann has always been a proponent of quality education. She attended Townsend Harris High School in New York City, which is consistently ranked one of the top high schools in the country. She graduated from Hofstra University with a B.B.A. in Finance, and St. John's University with a M.S. in Elementary Education. In addition, she holds 30 credits above her Masters in Gifted Education. She is a fully certified educator and loved her time as a New York City preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade teacher. During that time, she received extensive training from the Reading Reform Foundation, which provided her the skills and techniques needed to teach reading in this multisensory way. She has been teaching since 2003 and has taught countless children to read using this incredible curriculum, including her own 2 children who both started reading at 3-years-old. Upon moving to Illinois, she began teaching reading to children in Downers Grove in 2015 and is excited to continue to share her experience and expertise with other children in the area.
